With a new year, comes new brands, and Meriam Ahari’s KISMET COLLECTION has registered on PLNDR’s radar. Showcasing, chucky metal, exotic pendants, and dainty necklaces, this jewelry line has something for everyone. The truly Bohemian-Chic designer answered a few questions for us about her collection and herself. Check it out!
Where are you from, originally?
I’m originally from Virginia.
When did you first start creating jewelry?
I actually just started doing this about a year ago.
How did you get involved in this profession?
I’ve always been really interested in fashion and accessories. So it kinda came naturally; I started playing around and using different materials, and once I got good feedback from people I decided to give it a try.
What’s your favorite piece from the Kismet Collection?
It’s really hard to pick just one because I love each and every piece. Every piece is special and personal to me, but I find that on a daily basis I go to use the antique chain necklace or the dainty box necklace the most.  They’re so versitle! I also really love the all wrapped up necklace because you can wear it so many ways: as a bracelet, a head wrap, a necklace. That’s the cool thing about these pieces, you can wear them a lot of different ways. You can pair them with jeans and a tank top, or a party dress.
How would you define your personal style?Â
I would say it’s very fun and unexpected. I don’t take fashion too seriously, so I just kind of go for whatever makes me feel good inside. When I see something I love, I don’t care if it’s in style or trendy- I just try to have a lot of fun with it. For the Kismet Collection, I’d say it’s very Bohemian.
