Theophilus London Designs Del Toro Slippers for LVRS

Nowadays Theophilus London’s name is almost synonymous with high fashion. His current collaboration with fine footwear line, Del Toro, comes as no surprise. Theophilus teamed up with Del Toro to design a signature limited version of slippers. The velvet slippers come with a rose crest embroidery on the front, stars on the side, and the LVRS initials on the back. Sometimes celebrities endorse products that don’t fit their image but this partnership is perfect for Theophilus. He has been spotted in the past in similar velvet slippers. Along with Theophilus, rappers like Kanye West and B.I.G Sean have been spotted in velvet slippers in the past. Would you rock them?

Louis Vuitton Opens First Shoe Salon at Saks

Louis Vuitton seems to be on in-store expansion spree. The luxury designer is opening a shoe salon on the eighth floor of Saks Fifth Avenue this September. The exclusive shoe salon, much like other Louis Vuitton shops, will be operated by the brand itself.

Alexandre Vauthier Fall 2012 Couture Collection

Alexandre Vauthier’s fall 2012 showing at Paris couture week was filled with all the elements of couture, but what I loved about this collection is that the young designer maintained his signature saucy style along with wearable pieces. The collection was filled with the ever popular peplum trend, pant suit separates, deep v’s and extremely high slits.

Models like Sui He, Hanaa Ben Abdesslem, and Jasmine Tookes were outfitted in neutral colored gold rimmed clutches and gold, nude, and white pointy capped toe Christian Louboutin heels and boots. Peplums were paired to perfection with unforgiving plunging necklines, high hemlines, and skinny trousers.

Vauthier also added his own twist to pantsuits and jumpsuits. These pieces are daring but can be rocked by any fahsionista out there! I absolutely loved each piece of this collection, and that’s rare – especially for a couture show.
