The freshest and most exclusive streetwear and shoes are always available to all you city slickers out there. But what about all our suburban kids who have to trek into the city to look fly? The closest they have to exclusive gear is the footlocker at their local mall.
This will no longer be a problem for you suburbanites living in the Boston area. Emerson College junior and E3 partcipant Derrick Cheung has teamed up with Howard Travis to create Green Street Vault to help out those in need of fly clothes and sneakers in suburban communities outside of the city.
What is Green Street Vault you may ask? Well, they came up with the brilliant idea to create a portable clothing and sneaker retailer that will travel around the greater Boston area in order to provide the freshest gear to suburban male sneakerheads and fashion fiends who have no real place to shop in their area. Essentially, Green Street Vault will be the Ice Cream Man of dope sneakers and streetwear.
Green Street Vault will be carrying tons of the best streetwear brands, such as Nike, Vans, Annie Mulz, E5charlie, Rock Smith, PUZL, Society Original Products, Puma, Boppo, Manick skate decks, Miester watches, and Awol Brand. But, they’re going to make sure to leave the elitist attitude in the city. They promise to be laid-back and put the customer first, which is something they feel is unique to the specialty streetwear boutique sector.
Green Street Vault plans to target different towns outside Boston for periods of two weeks. They will be using social media to update what their locations and status, so be sure to follow them on Twitter to see when they’ll be stopping by your neighborhood. Be on the lookout this Friday!
